Spring Ordeal II
Monday May 16, 2005 04:39 pm PDTWe had a great ordeal. There were 15 ordeal candidates and 2 brotherhood candidates. The two brotherhood candidates were Luke W. and Manuel S. All passed through their ceremonies successfully. We set up 2 teepees for the new members to sleep in the second night.
Food was graciously prepared by George Mohamed, Bob Hut and Kristie Brown. The ordeal ceremony team was Manuel S., Evan H., David B. and Mike S. The Brotherhood ceremony team was Nick D., Evan H., David B. and Mike S. Both teams did great jobs. Evan has memorized his lines and delivered them with spirit. The ceremonies teams were supervised by Chris Brown and Jeff Barrow.
JD Hodges, Jacob Herman and Mike Vacca came by to support the lodge effort. Steve Barrow did a great job keeping the ordeal running. Carol Olen got everything organized and made sure it got done. Jeremy Floyd was there to give us the support of council. Terry Hall supplied his usual list of irksome tasks for us to do. Let me just say that we hauled a very large pile of branches out of camp. We had a bear in camp, a big bear. Fortunately, our cheerful attitudes kept him away from camp for the weekend.
