Song of the Coyote
The Song of the Coyote Award was created in 2001 to recognize those Arrowman that have shown dedication to Spe-Le-Yai Lodge #249.
The requirements to become eligible to receive this honor can be found below.
Youth
- Attend a minimum of 8 meetings a year.
- Be active at all Ordeals for a year.
- Achieve or have Brotherhood.
- Be active in his troop.
- Serve as an Elangomat.
- Hold an office in the Lodge.
- Be selected by the Song of the Coyote Committee.
Adults
- Attend a minimum of 8 meetings a year.
- Be active at all Ordeals for a year.
- Achieve or have Brotherhood.
- Hold an active position in scouting.
- Serve as an Elangomat.
- Serve as an adult advisor.
- Be selected by the Song of the Coyote Committee.
The requirements may be waived to honor a person in the council that has done a great service to the Lodge. Names may be submitted to the Song of the Coyote Committee for consideration.
The Song of the Coyote Committee is comprised of past Song of the Coyote recipients and shall make final determination in Awardees, a person deemed worthy of the award does not have to be ratified by the membership.
Anyone may nominate any Arrowman that they feel qualifies.
