This website has been designed with usability, accessibility and ease of use in mind.
Listed below are some of the features implemented on this site and how to use them.

Access Keys
In the navigation menu on the left side of the screen you will see certain menu items with a set of brackets surrounding a letter. ie. "Home [H]". The letters in the brackets represent the Access Key for that link. The Access Keys in use on this site are:
- H - Home
- C - Calendar
- L - Links
- S - Site Map
- F - Feedback (only available from the Home Page)
Access keys are used for keyboard navigation. You can quickly move around a website with a push of a few buttons.
Access Keys are not supported in all browsers but it is supported in most of the current versions of popular browsers
Below is a list of browsers that do support access keys.
Mozilla & Netscape 6.0+ (Windows & Linux\Unix) / Alt + [Access Key]
Mozilla & Netscape 6.0+ (Macintosh) / Ctrl + [Access Key]
Opera 7.0+ (Windows, Macintosh & Linux\Unix) / Shift + Esc + [Access Key]
Safari 1.2+(Macintosh) / Ctrl + [Access Key]
Internet Explorer 4.0+ (Windows) / Alt + [Access Key] + Enter
Internet Explorer (Macintosh) / Ctrl + [Access Key] + Enter
Netscape Navigator 4 (All Platforms) / Access keys not supported
Printing
Miracle Print
Where is the "Printer Friendly" Page? You don't need one here. Print any page and only the important stuff shows up! Go ahead print any page. The Navigation and all of the stuff you don't need to print magically disappears.
This feature only works with standards compliant browsers.

Mozilla, Opera & Internet Explorer via a plug-in allow you to navigate a website easily going forward, back, and up levels if it is specified in the webpage. We make extensive use of this here at Spe-Le-Yai.org. Below you can see a screen shot of this feature in action. The link bar is highlighted in red. This is a screenshot taken from Mozilla.
Technical Information about this site
This site was designed according to W3C recommendations. The entire site with the exception of the Mobile Calendar is authored in XHTML 1.0 Strict and styled with CSS. Every page has been validated against those standards.
We have tried to make these pages not only visually appealing but also fast loading and accessible. We have made vast improvements over previous designs of this site. You can read the article discussing all the improvements if you are interested.
Aside from every page on this site validating we have strived to meet Section 508 requirements and also the W3C's WCAG - "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" Priority 3 guidelines. We have achieved compliance on the Home page and on several of the pages within this site.
The key accessibility features include:

- Valid Code (XHTML, CSS & RSS)
- Clearly labeled forms with accessibility enhancements
- Standard markup - No Tables!
